2008 National Ango
The theme of the National Ango, to be held July 22 - August 22, 2008 at the Zen Center of Pittsburgh, will be “Nurturing Sangha.” Gyokuko Carlson, Nonin Chowaney and Ejo McMullen will each teach for one week.

Ethically Teaching the Dharma
The SZBA is offering a residential workshop, "Ethically Teaching the Dharma," at Great Vow Monastery, July 7 - 13, 2008. This event is for teachers and sangha leaders. The workshop will be led by Rev Alan Hozan Senauke, Jan Chozen Bays, Roshi, Rev Kyoki Roberts and Unitarian Distrcit Executive Janine Seitetsu Larsen.

2008 National Conference
The next National Conference is scheduled for October 1-5, 2008 at the San Francisco Zen Center. The working theme of the Conference will be "The Evolution of the Precepts." There is also interest in including associate members in this National Conference. Goals for the Conference include the Dharma Heritage Ceremony, a training, an academic talk, more free time, a ceremony, time for break-out groups and discussion of the Ethics and Reconciliation proposal.
