Un Getsu Mitsugo Liz Lawlor has been practicing with the Southwind Sangha Zen Buddhist Association since 2003 and is an active member of the Silent Thunder Order and an Associate Member of the Soto Zen Buddhist Association. Mitsugo became a disciple in September 2011 and was ordained as a novice priest in April of 2014. Her guiding teacher is Taiun Elliston Roshi of Atlanta Soto Zen Center in Altanta, Georgia. Mitsugo also studies the Okesa in the Nyoho-e tradition under the guidance of a sewing teacher.
